    WHAT CAUSES DULL SKIN?

Dehydrated skin can appear dull. Use hydrators like Hyaluronic Acid to draw moisture in helping to brighten skin.

Lack of exfoliation  - A build up of dead cells can make the skins surface rough, and cause skin to absorb light rather than reflect making skin look dull.  Don’t over do it though – a common indication of over exfoliation is  skin appearing ‘too shiny’

Aging- as your skin ages the time it takes for your skin cells to turn over can increase. It can be up to 90 days for more mature skin! This can lead to a build up of dead cells, which as above can cause skin to appear dull.

Not cleansing properly – no removing dirt and make-up properly at the end of the day can lead to a build up which can again dull skin.

IS YOUR KAKADU PLUM SUSTAINABLY SOURCED?

Yes! It is is collected sustainably, with methods detailed as follows: The collection of Kakadu Plum is permissible under a Territory Parks and Wildlife Permit which has several terms and conditions in place to ensure the sustainable collection of the fruit. Firstly, the fruit must be collected within a designated one hectare area of Crown Land outside the Kakadu National Park and collection is prohibited within the Park or any other protected area in the vicinity. Harvesting must only be undertaken by hand and collection must be spread across the entire plot. Total harvest at any time must not exceed 20% of fruit present on plants within the plot and with a maximum of 50% collected from any one plant. Therefore, adequate local stocks of the species are maintained to provide seeds for natural regeneration. Records of the annual harvested biomass are submitted to the Territory Parks and Wildlife Service each year for review prior to reissue of the permit. In addition, hygiene requirements are outlined under the permit to ensure pests and diseases are not introduced into the area. Further, the permit is issued subject to the provisions of the state’s Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act and permits are advised to contact the Aboriginal Protection Authority before undertaking any activities to ensure indigenous heritage artefacts or cultural sensitives are not compromised.
